Riots, responses, ridiculousness
So, I’m sure it’s escaped nobody’s attention that, right now, my country’s having a few flare-ups. It’s pretty well known; here’s some photos, from Australia of all places, for instance.
As someone who grew up in a city where riots were, well, worryingly a common occurrence, and where civil uprisings don’t exactly surprise people, I’ve been watching...

Visiting home, and the wisdom of pizza shops
So, last week I popped back down to Bradford briefly, to go and see everyone.
Sadly, I got there the day after a good friend of mine was flying back to Saudi to return to work (damn awful timing on my part, that!), but happily after my sister had returned from Germany. So, at least I got to see all the siblings - and their kids.
